We also believe that organizations have a wider role to play in the community and the world at large than many corporations have generally done. Our green policy is an extension of that belief.
We acknowledge our unique position as a multinational company and our responsibility for a better environment. We know we have the ability to make a positive impact.

Introduction
As natural resources are becoming increasingly scarce, Electude is actively trying to reduce its ecological footprint.
This policy, part of Electude' corporate business objective and operating philosophy, describes our approach to prevent, manage and where possible reduce or mitigate harmful effects on the environment.
Electude complies with all relevant environmental protection laws in the countries where it is active. We recognize that natural resources are finite and therefore must be used responsibly.
Current activities
Waste Reduction
Recycling is a standard process at Electude. Over the years Electude has actively been involved in waste management. Our efforts have had significant impact as we are able to recycle 80% of our waste.
Electude has implemented following activities concerning environmental care:
- Use of recycled environment friendly packaging materials (these are free of harmful materials)
- Use of recycled cardboard boxes
- Recycling cardboard, paper, mixed paper (e.g. magazines and newspapers) and plastic
- Used toners are disposed of through specialist recycling companies
- All batteries are being recycled
- Old PC's and office furniture are being recycled
- Used fluorescent light bulbs are being disposed of in an environment friendly fashion
- Plastic cups are not used at Electude
- Filtered tap water fountains are used to mitigate the use of disposable plastic bottles
- Trade fair materials are all reusable, keeping waste to a minimum
Paper Consumption
The production of paper is harmful to the environment, not only by cutting trees but also by use of harmful chemicals which has a detrimental effect on the environment. To limit our impact on the environment, Electude has put several programs in place to reduce paper usages for both our clients as for us:
Pro-actively invest in new developments to initiate paper reduction:
- Replacing 80% of regular post traffic by PDF files
- No printed products
- No printed manuals
- E-only brochures
- Ordering is only online
- E-invoicing
- E-books
- Employees are stimulated to reduce email printing to a minimum.
- Employees are encouraged to make use iPads, laptops or digital notebooks instead of traditional paper notepads
- Promotion of reduced printing by means of a green slogan added to employees' email signature
Green House Gases - Energy Consumption
Electude actively tries to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases by taking following actions:
- Development of e-learning modules on hybrid vehicles to stimulate the knowledge of repairing and maintaining hybrids around the world
- Printer switches to Power saving mode
- Employees are stimulated to cycle to work
- Electude stimulates employees to use public transport
- It is Electude policy to reduce business travel through the active use of video conferencing, webinars and electronic communications. It is policy that all staff within the international commercial organization must be connected via the video conferencing system. When business travel is required, it is the Electude policy to purchase the voluntary carbon offsetting voucher with the airline ticket.
Aims
Electude pro-actively works towards becoming even more environmentally friendly, and is committed to adopting and improving its environmental performance in operational and support services.
That is why Electude currently investigating various green certification.
We actively encourage the creativity of our employees, and have implemented a group called 'The Green Team' who meets regularly to generate and discuss ideas as well as supervising the implementation of environmental policy and practice within Electude.
Electude is committed to:
- Communicating with staff about environmental policies and best practice as well as co-operating with others in public and private sectors to develop and promote environmentally sound practices
- Monitoring discharges and emissions to air, land and water to evaluate what action is necessary to reduce pollution or the risk of pollution
- Reducing waste through re-use and recycling and by using reconditioned and recycled products and materials where such alternatives are available
To achieve these goals Electude will implement the following activities.
- Use of recycled paper for all stationary
- Use of recycled office supplies (pens etc)
- A full environmental building scan and renovation plan will be carried out to see what further improvements are possible
- Further stimulate employees to cycle to work
- Electude will deliberately select suppliers who are aware of their environmental impact, offer environmental friendly products, and who have their own environment policy
- Accelerate the development of e-learning modules on electrical vehicles to stimulate the knowledge of repairing and maintaining electrical cars around the world.
