16 September 2026, Nuenen, the Netherlands — Students and teachers in the Netherlands are positive about Electude’s interactive approach to technical education, according to a new survey and series of interviews conducted at Dutch vocational schools in 2026.
Founded in the Netherlands, Electude is currently used by every automotive school in the country. It also supports other technical programmes, such as Engineering, Mechatronics and Electrotechnology, at more than 20 schools. To better understand how the platform, its content and resources are experienced in Dutch education, Electude gathered feedback through in-person interviews and online surveys.
A researcher visited four schools and interviewed 37 students and seven teachers. In addition, 63 students and 19 teachers from nine schools completed online questionnaires.
The findings show that students appreciate being able to learn actively and at their own pace, while teachers value the insight, flexibility and independence that Electude brings to the classroom. Both groups are satisfied with Electude’s digital solutions, highlighting explanations, interactive content, visual resources and support for independent learning.
Students respond positively to interactive learning
Overall, the students surveyed considered Electude’s learning solutions to be useful, engaging, and effective.
More than 70% agreed that Electude is useful to their learning, while the remaining students were neutral. Not one student disagreed.
The results also indicate that Electude has a positive impact on the learning process:
- Nearly 70% of students agreed or strongly agreed that they learn a lot from Electude. Around 30% were neutral, and only 1.6% disagreed.
- Over 60% agreed or strongly agreed that Electude increases their learning productivity. Only 5% disagreed.
- More than 60% agreed or strongly agreed that Electude makes learning easier. Only 5% disagreed.

When asked specifically about Electude’s learning material, more than 60% of students gave it a satisfaction rating of 7 or higher out of 10. Fewer than 5% scored it 4 or lower. “It is a good way to make theoretical content interactive”, one student said.
Another student explained:
“I like the way the information is explained. I feel like I’ve learned more by working through the modules than I would have from a textbook. When you learn something from a book and don’t come back to the subject for a while, you tend to forget it. That’s what’s good about the modules: the material is repeated regularly, which helps you remember it,” explained another student.
In addition, learners find that the exercises are “easy to relate to the real world” and that they can clearly see how concepts are applied. They view the LMS as a valuable supporting tool that complements hands-on practice by helping them apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context.
Students also appreciate the flexibility to work on different modules at their own pace and independently. As one student stated, “you create your own way of learning.”
Strong satisfaction among teachers
Surveyed teachers were particularly positive about Electude’s learning solutions. They mentioned interactivity, simulations, visual resources, clear explanations, and student progress tracking as key features of the platform. The ability to support independent learning was also frequently mentioned.
Nearly 95% of surveyed teachers are satisfied with Electude’s learning materials, giving them a satisfaction rating of 7 or higher.* In addition, almost 95% of the teachers evaluated the quality of the materials positively.

The interactive nature of the content emerged as a consistent strength. One teacher described “the playful nature of the interactive modules” as highly engaging and motivating, citing the voltmeter simulation as an example.
In the open-ended questions, no teacher gave a wholly negative response. Nearly 70% of responses were positive, while approximately 30% were mixed or neutral. Fifteen of the 19 teachers said they would recommend Electude to others. One additional teacher would recommend it, although not yet for every course.
Teachers described Electude as “modern learning material that aligns with different learning needs” and a “modern teaching method that is continuously being further developed.” Others praised its breadth and convenience:
- “Everything is in one place.”
- “The modules cover all the theory we need.”
Greater insight and flexibility in the classroom
The interviews revealed that teachers value not only the content but also the overview provided by the LMS. Its tracking and student data help them see where individual learners are progressing and where additional support may be needed.
“They can all work independently, and you can immediately see what they are struggling with,” one teacher explained. “You can then address those issues with the whole class.”
This visibility is especially valuable in classes that include different year groups, ability levels or educational pathways. Students can work through relevant modules at their own pace, while teachers can direct their attention to the learners who need it most.
“There is a great deal of variation in students’ age and ability levels at our school, which makes whole-class instruction challenging,” one teacher said. “The LMS works very well because it allows us to give each student the attention they need.”
Teachers also appreciate the independence Electude gives their students. One participant said: “It is beneficial that students can work through the modules at their own pace and take responsibility for their own learning.”
Support and communication from Electude were also viewed very positively.
Useful and easy to use

Both groups, students and teachers, see Electude as a useful, accessible learning resource.
Nearly three in four students (73%) gave the LMS an ease-of-use score of 7 or higher. Among teachers, that figure rose to 84.2%.
Together, the survey findings and interviews present a consistent picture. Electude’s digital platform and content make theory more visual, interactive and relevant while supporting independent learning and giving teachers valuable insight into student progress.
The results also help explain why Electude has become an integral part of technical education, especially in automotive programmes, throughout the Netherlands.
*For questions using a 1–10 scale, ratings of 9–10 were classified as very positive, 7–8 as positive, 5–6 as neutral, 3–4 as negative, and 1–2 as very negative. Percentages may not total 100% due to rounding.
