Electude Joins World Projects in Supporting Education in Malawi

July 16 2025, Nuenen, Netherlands — Last week, Electude consolidated its partnership with World Projects Foundation, an organisation dedicated to education and development in emerging countries, particularly in Africa. Through its Vocational Training Project, the foundation collects surplus or written-off didactic materials in the Netherlands, including training panels, computers, and tools. After being refurbished and repaired as needed, all materials are donated to vocational schools and training centres in Malawi, with the assistance of the Malawian governmental organisation TEVETA (the Technical, Entrepreneurial, and Vocational Education and Training Authority).

First Direct Donation to Malawi

On July 8, 2025, we welcomed Ruud Rouvoet, Board Member of World Projects, to our headquarters in Nuenen, Netherlands, where he received six Connect training aids for schools in Malawi.

This marks Electude’s first direct donation to the initiative. However, several Malawian training centres are already using Electude’s hardware thanks to earlier donations from Dutch schools that participate in the foundation’s program.

According to Rouvoet, both teachers and students greatly value hands-on tools: “With practical equipment, the learning process is faster. With them, students learn in half a year what usually takes a whole year.”

For Erik van Liempt, Account Manager at Electude, this initiative contributes to a better world by providing more resources to students in need while giving trainers a second life.

“We help make high-quality education possible in underprivileged areas of the world, and our Connect learning tools get a valuable second life, which reduces our ecological footprint,” said van Liempt.

Other Educational Initiatives in Africa

Electude is honoured to join Dutch technical schools and other sponsors in supporting this impactful initiative. Our cooperation with World Projects aligns with our collaborations with other institutions dedicated to offering high-quality, accessible education on the African continent, including Go for Africa and Don Bosco Tech Africa

Electude recently sponsored two automotive students from ROC Mondriaan who participated in the Go for Africa project. After preparing a second-hand car to withstand the conditions of the Sahara Desert and driving from the Netherlands to Gambia, they taught local students at a Gambian technical school and donated the car at the end of their journey.

Since 2025, Electude has also been supporting 23 Don Bosco technical and vocational centres across 12 African countries, including Malawi. We are proud to contribute to Don Bosco’s mission of transforming the lives of marginalised young people by offering reduced-cost licenses and complimentary access to Electude Classroom, our complete e-learning solution for automotive education.
