Electude Supports EuroSkills Herning 2025 as Event Skills Sponsor

16 September 2025, Nuenen, the Netherlands — As a consistent supporter of the global WorldSkills movement, Electude has once more helped to promote vocational education and celebrate technical skills. Last week, we proudly joined the 9th edition of EuroSkills, the official European Championship of Young Professionals.

As Event Skill Sponsor, Electude supported EuroSkills Herning 2025 with our Connect – Plug-in Hybrid Training Vehicle and the Electude Engine Management Simulator. Moreover, we have assigned two experts to assess the 18 national champions who participated in the Automobile Technology competition.

The young technicians showcased their problem-solving and fault-finding skills and were evaluated across a wide range of criteria, including general work organisation, self-management, safety, communication, electrical and mechanical systems, inspection, diagnosis, repairs, overhaul, and service.

On the last day of the competition, all automotive competitors received a set of small bricks to assemble a miniature model of the Connect – Plug-in Hybrid Training Vehicle.

Automobile Technology was one of 38 skills showcased at EuroSkills Herning 2025, where nearly 600 young professionals under the age of 25 competed over three days, from 10 to 12 September. With this record number of competitors, the 2025 edition marked the largest EuroSkills in history. The event also drew more than 100,000 visitors, underscoring its significance as Europe’s premier skills competition.

EuroSkills Herning 2025 highlighted not only the essential role of skilled workers in economic growth but also their contribution to a sustainable future. Reflecting this, the theme of EuroSkills Herning 2025 was “Skilled for a Greener Future: Sustainability”, which guided both the competitions and the sustainable measures implemented throughout the event.

In addition to sponsoring the official automotive championship, Electude was present at the event with a booth and a Try-a-Skill Station, where attendees were invited to challenge our diagnostics expert, Javier Lopez, on the Engine Management Simulator.

The Try-a-Skill activities are designed to inspire and inform school-aged visitors, offering them the chance to experiment with hands-on tasks, discover their interests, and explore potential career paths.

As a former competitor (11th place in WorldSkills Dresden 2022 and 4th place in EuroSkills Gdańsk 2023) and Excellence Medallist, Javier understands the profound impact the event can have on students, apprentices, and young professionals.

“Thanks to Skills, I have been able to grow both professionally and personally, and the experience opened many doors in my career. I hope to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals just as I was once inspired by the WorldSkills competition,” he says. “The Try-a-Skill station was also a great space to meet teachers who were genuinely interested in improving their teaching methods and bringing innovative, high-quality content to their classrooms.”

On Saturday, 13 September, the winners were announced in the Closing Ceremony. Electude would like to congratulate all competitors for their outstanding performances and extend special recognition to the three medalists in Automobile Technology:

  • 1st place: Leonie Tieber, from Austria
  • 2nd place: Johannes Renner, from Germany
  • 3rd place: Bence Tánczos, from Hungary

Electude has contributed to WorldSkills competitions, including international, continental, and national editions, since 2014. Through its continued support of these events, Electude reaffirms its belief in the power of skills and vocational education to transform lives and foster a better world.
