18 August 2026, Nuenen, the Netherlands — Electude has just launched a new feature to help teachers assess students through the platform. With the new Test Generator, instructors can now generate tests directly from courses.
How to use the Test Generator?
To create a test, navigate to a course in the ‘Courses’ tab and simply click ‘Generate test for this course’. Then, select the desired number of questions and click ‘Add’. Electude automatically chooses questions based on the learning objectives covered in the course.

Questions are distributed across as many learning objectives as possible, helping create balanced assessments that reflect the course material. You can also set the default pass mark and the maximum completion time.
The Test Generator already contains thousands of questions across multiple languages. It continues to grow as new questions are added, translated, and reviewed by experts for technical accuracy and alignment with the learning objectives. Additional languages will be added over time.
Once generated, the test works just like a regular DIY test: you can review, edit, and republish it as needed.
Export tests using QTI 2.2
Tests can now also be exported as QTI 2.2 packages, making it easier to use Electude assessment content in compatible learning and assessment systems. You can download a test as a ZIP file and import it into a supported platform.
Watch the video below to see how a test can be generated from a course and exported to another system through QTI:
Please note:
- To generate a test, the course must include enough relevant modules and learning objectives.
- Some question types and media cannot be exported because of QTI format and content limitations.
