3. Settings

In this section you will learn the following:

  • Change account settings
  • Change admin password
  • Change language settings
  • Force new passwords
  • Customize Electude LMS design
  • Certificate templates

3.1 Change account settings

To change the account settings, such as the name of the organization, your admin password or email address, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab in the LMS.
  2. In the left menu, navigate to ‘Account’.
  3. Change the fields you would like to change, and click on ‘Ok’ to save the changes.

3.2 Change Admin password

To change the Administrator password, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab in the LMS.
  2. In the left menu, navigate to ‘Account’.
  3. Scroll down to the field called ‘Edit Password’. Type in the new password and repeat it.
  4. Click on ‘Ok’ to save your new password.

3.3 Change language settings

To change the language settings in your account, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab in the LMS.
  2. In the left menu, navigate to ‘General’.
  3. Change your site’s language by selecting the correct language next to the field called ‘Language’.
  4. If you don’t want the students or teachers to change their personal language settings select ‘no other languages’.
  5. Click on ‘Ok’ to save you changes.

3.4 Force new passwords

To make students or teachers set a new password, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab in the LMS.
  2. In the left menu, navigate to ‘General’.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the ‘force new password’ symbol.
  4. Select ‘if you want to force new passwords for teachers or students’ and select the number of days they have to set a new password.
  5. Click on ‘Ok’ to force new passwords.

3.5 Customize Electude LMS design

To customize the colors and the banner with a logo in your Electude LMS, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ tab in the LMS.
  2. In the left menu, navigate to ‘Graphic design’.
  3. Select ‘Custom colors’.
  4. You can create your own color scheme by selecting two different colors.
  5. Select ‘Use own logo’ if you want to display your own logo (use an image with a white background or without a background).
  6. Click on the upload symbol to select the logo.
  7. Select ‘Use own banner’ if you want to display your own banner that will be on the homepage of your school’s Electude domain (use an image with a background color identical to the menu color).
  8. Click on the upload symbol to select the banner.
  9. Click on ‘Ok’ to save the changes.
