Since 2014, Electude has contributed to dozens of WorldSkills competitions across the globe, from Chile to China. Our engine management simulator, learning management system, and automotive training aids have been used in local, national, regional, and international editions of the WorldSkills competitions. Beyond technology, Electude experts have brought their knowledge and experience to the events as both trainers and judges.

Our goal? To inspire passion for technical skills, empower young automotive professionals, and promote vocational education.

What is WorldSkills?

Through competitions, projects, conferences, and campaigns, WorldSkills helps inspire young people, celebrate skilled professionals, foster economic growth, and change lives through vocational education.

Created in Europe after the Second World War due to a skills shortage and the threat of a new economic depression, the WorldSkills competition quickly grew and expanded to all continents.

Today, the international competition is held every two years, bringing together almost 2,000 national champions under the age of 23 from over 60 countries to compete in more than 60 different skills.

To inspire even more people with the power of skills, the events are open to the general public, attracting nearly 150,000 visitors, including over 60,000 students.

WorldSkills is considered the gold standard of skills excellence and encompasses a network of local, national, and regional events, including EuroSkills, WorldSkills Americas, SkillsUSA, and many more.

International Competitions

In 2022 and 2024, Electude joined WorldSkills by sponsoring the Automobile Technology competition, in which we played a key role.

At WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, Electude contributed by developing tasks, designing testing assignments, and providing its advanced Learning Management System (LMS).

At WorldSkills Lyon 2024, in France, Electude expanded its contribution by offering not only its LMS but also three Connect – Plug-in Hybrid Training Vehicles, designed for diagnosing pre-assigned electrical faults. Competitors received training and technical support, while Electude’s experts also served as judges.

In 2022, Electude’s LMS introduced objective, automated measurements of competitor performance. With results instantly visible and seamlessly integrated into the WorldSkills rating system, assessments became more consistent and reliable than ever before.

Grant Petch, Skills Competition Manager for Automobile Technology, praised the innovation, stating: “The LMS developed by Electude is the way of the future and will become a regular part of education and Skills competition.”

Alexander Amiri, Director of Sponsorship and Partnership at WorldSkills International, highlighted Electude’s impact: “Electude’s innovation in education and hands-on learning transfers seamlessly into our competition setting.”

With an outstanding score of 781 points, Shaohui Yang from China, the gold medalist of the 2024 automotive competition, shared his appreciation for Electude’s tasks. “I was very happy to work on Electude’s exercises and training vehicle. I learned a lot, especially about the structure of the battery and the logic of the charging plug,” he explained.

Yang was equally impressed by the vehicle’s design and safety. Having once experienced an electric shock while practising with a real car battery, he particularly valued the enhanced safety of Electude’s training vehicle.

I chose to use Electude as a sponsor for the WorldSkills International competitions because they bring many advantages to the competition. Electude, for me, can develop and build realistic faults in the latest technology for light vehicles. The faults that Electude develops are relevant to what the industry is experiencing now. This enables the competition to assess the skill sets needed to diagnose current Body Electrical and e-mobility vehicles.

Regional Competitions

EuroSkills

In 2025, Electude sponsored the EuroSkills competition, recognised as the largest vocational education and skills excellence event in Europe.

Electude joined EuroSkills Herning 2025 as Event Skills Sponsor and contributed to the competition with its Connect – Plug-in Hybrid Training Vehicle, the Electude Engine Management Simulator, and two expert assessors.

Electude also hosted a booth and a Try-a-Skill station, where visitors engaged with diagnostics expert and former competitor Javier Lopez, who shared his experiences and inspired students, teachers, and apprentices.

On the last day of the competition, all 18 automotive competitors received a set of small bricks to assemble a miniature model of our plug-in hybrid vehicle. Leonie Tieber (photo), from Austria, was the winner of the Automobile Technology competition at EuroSkills 2025, with a total of 726 points.

With almost 600 young professionals under the age of 25 competing across 38 skills, this was the largest EuroSkills in history – and certainly not the last edition sponsored by Electude.

Phillipe Kever, Automobile Technology Chief Expert at EuroSkills, thanked Daan Schoeber, Electude’s Product Management Director, for the close collaboration and excellent organisation, which facilitated the preparation process on site in Herning. “I feel that this was the best competition I have experienced so far, as all the experts and competitors were very satisfied with the preparation and the high quality of the challenges provided.”

In addition to the regional competition, Electude is a frequent supporter of national Skills events, such as SpainSkills and WorldSkills UK.

WorldSkills Americas

Electude has joined several national Skills competitions in Latin America since 2018, including events in Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. In 2025, after years of supporting national editions and training competitors, Electude sponsored its first WorldSkills Americas, the largest technical and vocational skills competition in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The sixth edition of the event was held in Chile between 3 and 8 November 2025 and welcomed more than 400 competitors and experts. Representatives of 13 Latin American countries took part in competitions across 20 skills.

As Silver Partner of WorldSkills America Santiago 2025, Electude offered a dedicated LMS domain, prepared tasks for the engine simulator, trained teachers and students, and even provided Connect training aids to help competitors prepare. During the event, Electude’s engine simulator and Connect trainers were used in the Automobile Technology competition.

National & Local Competitions

SkillsUSA

Electude has been contributing to local, state, and national Skills events in the United States for over a decade. In addition to providing the competitions with the Electude Engine Management Simulator and experts to act as judges, Electude has also sponsored young competitors.

Every year, we join SkillsUSA, the national championship that celebrates America’s most highly skilled technical students. In 2025, we had a booth at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, where students could diagnose and solve real-world faults using our Connect – Circuit Diagnosis trainer.

In 2025, we also sponsored five Automotive Technology students who required financial assistance to compete in SkillsUSA. They participated in the competition in categories like Aviation Maintenance and Mobile Electronics Installation.

SpainSkills

For over five years, Electude has been actively involved in Skills competitions in Spain, the birthplace of WorldSkills. During this time, we have supported three national SpainSkills events as well as numerous Competiciones Autonómicas (Regional Competitions) across the country.

In 2025, we supported the majority of the 19 Skills biannual regional events by:

Providing full access to our LMS and Simulator for teachers and students ahead of the competitions, ensuring they could properly prepare.

Bringing our Connect training aids to the events.

Running competition tests on both Connect and the Simulator, and in some cases, also through Classroom virtual labs.

In many regions, our support extended beyond the Light Vehicle competition to include the Heavy Vehicle category. At Skills Catalonia 2025, we also contributed to the Electric Vehicle competition.

The winners of the regional competitions advance to the national championship, SpainSkills, where they represent their respective regions. In 2024, Electude proudly sponsored the Transport and Logistics competition of SpainSkills, and we look forward to continuing our support at the next edition in 2026.

WorldSkills UK

We have also supported Skills events in the United Kingdom by developing qualification entry assessments, supplying Electude Connect training equipment, and providing electric training vehicles for both Light Vehicle and HGV competitions.

In November 2025, we once again supported the National Finals of the WorldSkills UK, an event that brings together four nations and over 400 young competitors. We were proud to renew our participation by offering our training aids and contributing to the judging panel.

This partnership reflects our shared mission to raise standards in automotive education and equip the next generation of technicians with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving industry.

WorldSkills Kazakhstan

In 2024 and 2025, we had the pleasure of sponsoring WorldSkills Kazakhstan in Astana. Participating teachers and students were given access to the Electude Simulator and Light Vehicle modules to support their preparation for the competition, which also incorporated Electude. In addition, we contributed to the winners’ prizes by awarding licenses and vouchers to the top three competitors and their schools.

The most recent WorldSkills Kazakhstan, held in December 2025, brought together more than 800 competitors from across the country. The event set new national records for both participation and number of skill categories, underscoring the continued growth and impact of the WorldSkills movement in Kazakhstan – a development to which Electude is proud to contribute.
